One of the more popular ways to sell timeshare property is through reseller directories.  These directories specialize exclusively in timeshares.  People pay a fee to list their timeshare and usually an additional commission fee if it actually sells.  As you might have wondered by now, who actually reads timeshare reseller directories and who buys a property without taking a tour of it first?  The people who buy are usually looking for a specific resort, one that they have already visited and enjoyed, and are not willing to pay the down payment that the resort is asking for.  You would have to be very lucky to sell the timeshare property through a directory.  To increase your chances, you would have to pay multiple directories to list your timeshare in order to reach as many eyes as possible.

Another way to sell timeshare property is through Internet listing sites.  There are not many out there that specialize in timeshares, but there are more than enough general classified listing sites where you can sell everything including the kitchen sink.  List your timeshare in as many as you can and hope someone is searching to buy a timeshare through the Internet.  You can spam your property in many Internet forums as well.  Be sure the site you are posting on is relevant to timeshares or sales of property.  Do not try to sell timeshare property on a forum about poodle grooming.  Not only will people dislike you, you are wasting time, bandwidth, and electricity.

There are auction sites as well where you can post your timeshare.  Be especially wary of scams on the Internet.  Close the sale through a legitimate listing company.
